Our Policies


If you have an alarm system at your home and it is simple to operate, you can give instructions on its operation when scheduling your appointment.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      If your alarm system is complicated, we prefer that your alarm be left off on the day of the cleaning. Please refer to our breakage and loss policy for additional information.

Our employees are very important to us, and we are very serious about keeping them safe, so they do not use ladders or move anything heavier than 35 lbs. These types of activities put our employees in danger of back injury or could even damage your flooring. If you would like us to clean behind appliances like a refrigerator, oven or sofa, please move it prior to the cleaning to allow access to the desired area.

We will not bring bleach into a home to use as a cleaning product. If you request us to use bleach supplied in your home, please be aware that we will not be responsible for any damage caused by your bleach.


If it is necessary to cancel/skip any scheduled cleaning day, please notify CK Cleaning Specialists 24 hours prior to your scheduled day. That will allow us to reassign the service provider or team to another appointment. If CK Cleaning Specialists receives less than 24 hours, or can’t access your home, it will be necessary for us to charge the full price of your cleaning.

To ensure that all your needs are addressed, please correspond all requests and changes directly to CK Cleaning Specialists scheduling department. Please do not communicate these important details with service providers.

Arrival Notice

If you wish to wait for your provider to give them access into your home, please realize that we can give arrival windows of about 2-3 hours, such as 9:00 am -11:00 pm; 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm; 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm.  Many things can affect our schedules, such as cancellations, lockouts or customers adding services. We want to save you time, not make you waste it waiting for us to arrive. Providing instructions on how we can access your home is the most efficient way for you to provide your service provider access to your home.

Payments and Refunds

For your convenience, CK Cleaning Specialists gladly accepts checks and credit card payments using PayPal. All payments must be made at least three days prior to your scheduled appointment to avoid cancellation.

Since cleaning is a very personalized and subjective service, we cannot offer refunds to customers. However, we want you to be 100% satisfied with CK Cleaning Specialists. Please see our 24-hour guarantee if you are dissatisfied with your cleaning. There are no refunds for gift certificate purchases.

Our staff greatly appreciates your tips.  It’s customary to tip your cleaners in the same manner you would tip your waiter at a restaurant – 15%-20%.

Holiday Appointments

We are open and accepting appointments for various holidays in 2012.  Due to the increased volume of requests, holidays can include the day before, day of and the day after the holiday.

For Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, it includes the entire week of the holiday.  All holdiay appointments are subject to a $25 holiday fee.

We realize not everyone wishes to pay an increased rate for a holiday appointment. If you are one of those individuals, we understand, but we ask that you respect our policy and plan in advance to receive a comprable appointment that does not fall within our holiday schedule. Licensed – Insured – Bonded

CK Cleaning Specialists is a licensed, insured and bonded professional cleaning service providing residential and commercial cleaning in and around the Chicagoland area.

Breakage and Loss Policy

Our liability limits are set at a maximum of 10 times the cost of the service charge on the day in which the breakage/loss occurred. Notification must be made within 48 hours of service.

Items excluded from liability are; cash, jewelry, one-of-a-kind items or hard to get items; items of sentimental value, art, antiques and electronics.

Key replacement / locksmith fees are paid only if keys are lost or miscoded. There is a $50 per location liability limit.
